HD Advance 2.0

What do you reckon of it? I thought this would make a handy alternative to using Swap Magic to boot import games, as it could just record them to the hard drive and therefore save me fiddling about with a slide tool every time I want to play a game, as well as boosting loading times for my PAL games.

Well you'd need SOME sort of slide tool etc to install them on the HD to begin with as it checks the region when copying. But not when actually booting so I hear. I don't have a problem with it, been fine since I got it (and I'm only running originals on my modded machine). Just remember some games don't work with it.

I think it's an essential upgrade - I have my modded PS2 set up to boot straight into the HDLoader menu. It's just a shame Gradius V doesn't work with it

Aces, cheers for the replies. Yeah, the HD Advance 2.0 software comes bundled with a slide tool so that's not a problem. I think I'll get me this, make it so much easier to play backups since my Messiah packed in, esp as I don't fancy fiddling about with a bit of plastic on the drive every time I want to play a game.
