Videogame Rock Music?

I love Japanese rock/metal videogame soundtracks. My favourites being Daytona 1&2 and Scud Race.

Sega have this c.d containing rock versions of classic tunes. Has anyone bought it, and is it any good?

Also, any recommendations of similar style c.d's appreciated.

The Konami "Battle" series of cds are pretty cool. There's Shooting Battle with a ton of Gradius/Axelay/others on it, and Dracula Battle with Castlevania themes. Both are probably old and therefore hard to get hold of though, but I heard the mp3s.

The Final Fantasy Black Mages cd is excellent - mostly battle themes from various FF games done in a rock/metal stylee. That one shouldn't be too hard to get seeing as it only came out I think last year.

Don't know of they still sell this but the Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night original sound track has class rock music.

guilty gearx2 even if you do not like the tunes the quality and effort is alot higher than in most game sound tracks
