How do I play MAME from the disk on my xbox?

Got an xbox a couple of days ago and plan to get it chippes a.s.a.p but I'm not getting a bigger hard drive so would rather not have MAME taking up approx 5.5GB on the hard drive.
I want to just play the roms straight off of a cd/dvd so the minimum amount of stuff is on the hard drive. How would I do this? Does a different programme or piece of software have to be burned along with the ROM disks to allow it to play straight from the disk or anything like that?

once its chipped just put the cdrw/dvdr with mamex and the roms burnt onto it into ur xbox

then boot up

Oh right so nothing has to be done differently then? I don't even have to install the emulator on the hard drive?

nope

as long as the default.xbe (thats the emu application) and all the roms are in the correct folder then it will run from cdrw
