    Virgin.net BB - Kit reccomendations

    Hello again,

    I've ordered the 512k service, 17.99 with 3GB a month seemed OK.

They offered a USB style modem, but I would rather she has a router setup, and then just CAT5 to the router.

I wonder if any of you guys have used Virgin, and can recommend a compatible router?

    I believe she needs

    1.) Splitter
    2.) Router
3.) Cat5 Cable. (I can provide this one)

Any suggestions on compatible splitters and routers would be diamond.

?29.99 Ebuyer value 4 port ADSL router from Ebuyer.com

It's all you need tbh. They sell microfilters on there as well, for about ?1

      this one: http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=48448

Looks good. 56 reviews, and no virgin.net customers.... Still it says it is compatible with all UK ISP's so looks good.

      Thanks for the tip.

        That one

And its all standard networking equipment. Virgin.net is the same as any other ISP. The only difference is that they may not "support it" (i.e. so you'll buy their rip off router) but seeing as i've heard virgins customer support is non-existant anyway :P

I have virgin net, had about say 2 hours of downtime in 7 months or so and always full download speed.

          Excellent imo.
