Gamecube Mod Help needed

I've done a few jap machines in my time but this is the first US one ive done. After a bit of sweating i got the reisistor off the board on R6

Put the switch on and all went well , well so i thought .

Whatever i do its in US mode. So i desoldered the switch and checked the two R6 points with a continuity tester and it didnt sound so i assume there isnt a link but its all still in US.

Are you rtying to mod a US cube to play JPN games ?

If you are you don't need to remove the riessitor, just solder the wire to both points of the R5. This is what switches the region to JPN on a US cube.

Ask Saurian for more help but I think I am correct in what I have just said. It is what I did and my US cube is multi region now.
