Modded Xbox: What exactly have I got here? :/

ok, it seems Marklar has provided the clarity I needed for this.

Yoshimax, the reason I want to have everything done from the modded machine is lack of space in my setup. There isn't enough room to have both consoles hooked up. Also, the main reason for getting the chipped machine (as stated in original post) was having the HDTV modes available. But I want to be playing in 480P etc. when online as well, then there's the idea of content download which I would also want viewable as best as possible.

Anyway, thanks to everyone who commented on this and helped me out. Muchly appreciated.

Once my HDTV pack arrives I'll just have to see what happens and be aware of potential banning risks that may arise.

I'm in the same position. I've been on Live! previously, and I've now had the Xbox chipped... and I'll be 'rebuilding' the hard drive later, but I obviously won't be connecting back with the chip switched off.

I don't use Live! too often though so it's not a major concern if I do get kicked. I'll post back if I have any issues.
