Xbox 50/60hz question & Enigma video selector

Hi guys,

Both myself and a mate just recently got our Xbox's modded - my US NTSC , his UK PAL.

He has the problem where US and Jap games running on his machine only seem to display in 50hz which I guess is to be expected - I had the same problem with some of my Dreamcast titles.

Am I right to assume that if we were to install Enigma Video selector on his machine that this would solve the problem and allow him to play Jap and US games on his PAL chipped machine in 60hz as intended?

I'm also wondering is there any benefit to me installing the same thing on my machine?

Am I correct in thinking that my machine will just carry on running whatever I put in it (both PAL and NTSC games) and a nice 60hz? Surely my US machine isn't capable of outputting a 50hz signal?

It will be useful to install it on both machines. 95% of games will play fine on both a US machine and a UK machine with PAL60 selected in the display options. There are a few that won't and you will have to select the correct region using the enigmah util.

I know that Timesplitters 2 won't play on my chipped UK box with NTSC selected. That's the only game I've come across with this problem. Install EvoX and it takes just a few seconds to change them though.
