Gameboy games for my DS - Whats good?

Now I got my DS I'm interested in getting a few Gameboy games to play on it while I wait for more DS goodness to be released and delivered.

Anybody recommend a game to get in the following genres?

Strategy

Platform

Racer

Is Mario Cart worth getting? I love the SNES version - is it even close to that?

Agree on the Advance Wars. Played a wee spell on my mates Gameboy and got warped by it - a must have. Got a copy of Advance Wars 2 on EBay yesterday for 9 pound for my DS it will keep me hooked till Advance Wars DS arrives. You will lose days of your life to it!!

Mario Kart for the Advance is great. Better quality than the SNES incarnation. Mario Kart DS looks the nuts!!

I thought getting into portable gaming was a bad idea, I have managed to resist it for ages - its going to take over my life At least my girlfriend bought me the DS in the first play so she should have known better

Definately get Mario Kart Super Circuit for GBA, it's very similar to the classic SNES one and actually contains all of the SNES tracks as unlockables. AMazing fun at the time and I imagine it'll be even betetr if you can actually see the screen.

For some reason, I bought the game with an imported jp GBA and never bought any other games. It was worth the price for 4 player link up racing though!

Saw some screenies on VG+ and Play Asia where you can pre-order. Also some nice visuals on gamespot. Can get link to Game spot stuff cause work Internet has it locked out. Play Asia and VG+ links through the top of this page I believe.

Not sure if they do but Gametrailers.com may have a cheeky trailer. They have a movies for loads of other DS games. Check it out!!

Cheers Mardi (ignore my Scarface fixation if you can mang!!!), just checked out Gamespot. Looks like the basic carts with oldschool powersliding going round the GC tracks!!! Doesnt appear to use the touch screen much but thats a must have anyways.
