Panasonic Q RGB SCART cable - how to connect it to the Q?

My Panasonic Q arrived this morning, complete with one of those modded RGB SCART leads. I've connected it to the back of the Q via the High Definition port and the three coloured connectors (yellow, white and red) to the corresponding colured sockets on the machine. However I'm only getting a composite picture and it looks a bit ****. Am I connecting the SCART lead incorrectly or is there something wrong with it?

Most likely something wrong with it - either faulty wiring or incorrect voltages supplied to the function pins (pin 8 and 16 on the SCART)

Make sure power is off before you plug-in/remove the digital cable, and make sure all the phonos are plugged into their corresponding ports.

If you still only get a composite image - the RGB mode switching function (SCART end pin 16) has the wrong voltage supplied.

So it's likely to be the SCART lead and not the digital port? I'll go do what you suggested right away, but if pin 16 has the wrong voltage or faulty wiring can it be fixed?

        Yeah it's no problem,

In the meantime can you possibly force RGB mode by having another machine with RGB enabled plugged into your switcher and switched on?

Ah yes, tried the Q with the PS2 on at the same time going through the same switcher and it worked.

If I sent the cable to you would you fix it? If so how much would you charge?

A bit of a silly question but are you sure the cables are all pushed in properly (the three conectors specifically) as I was going to send a cable back to Saurian for similar picture problems but the only problem was me not pushing the three connectors in as far as they could go. I'm an idiot, I know...
