No picture at all? is that with games or DVDs, or both? are you using composite, component, S-Video or Scart, if Scart, is it a modded one for RGB?

Does the splitter work for other inputs (DVD, other consoles, etc...) when using the same input?

      Details. We need details....

        Cheers pal.
So i can get a picture from the Q in the front room when going direct to its S-Video socket, for games and DVD's,but then i take it to the bedroom and connect it to the joytech av splitter using the Q's s-vid socket to the s-vid socket on the splitter(tried all 4 inputs) and get nothing. An X-Box i have in thier gets a pin sharp picture for once,in any of the input sockets.
So this leads me to believe the Q dosent like going through splitters,or is this foolish.
The tv in the bedroom dosent have its own s-video socket,so am i stumped?

So I take it you're using some sort of S-Video > composite or S-Video>Scart adaptor to actually plug the splitter up to the TV in the bedroom?

How do you usually hook the Q up to the Tv in the bedroom if it doesn't have an S-video input?

I just re-read your post and think I understand. If you plug the Q into the splitter using an S-video lead then you HAVE to use the S-video output from the splitter. You can't (for example) plug the Q in using S-video, and then try and use the Scart output from the splitter - it won't re-map the signal to any other output.

So there is actually no way of connecting the Q to a TV that dosent have an s-vid socket, as i tried the q into the splitter using s-vid,then an s-vid cable with a scart on the end into the tv from the output of the splitter, and still nothing.

It needs to be s-vid from the splitter to the tv(if it had a socket)
