PSP - Can I use one of these?

Its one of the leads that came with the original first generation Playstations way back in the day.

Got my PSP arriving next week and I don't want to blow it up, and I don't want to be titting around with adapters etc. as they always seem to hang loose when you plug them in the wall

Yeah thats exactly what you need.

Just replace the cord you get with the PSP with that lead and everything will charge and work perfectly.

Lets hope not!

One thing I hate is adapters! Plugging them into a wall socket, they always half hang off. Rubbish!

It's serendipity! Also just realised that my Sony camcorder came with a USB mini plug cable with it! I hadn't unpacked it since 6 months ago! Finally a use for it! I'm uploading stuff as we speak!

AFAIK, all Sony camcorders with USB streaming have this cable included!
