Does anyone know where I would be able to get my hands on a System Disc for the DC - I've been looking for one for ages without any success

What's a system disc? And this is the PC forum - should this be in videogame q&a? If you are asking for the DC bios, then you won't find the answer here.

The system disc boots development cdr's on un-modded DC consoles.

No, because it only works with 'proper' cd/gd rom images. Real development burns, not pirates.

Oh I see, my mistake. So why would you arse about getting one of them, surely you could just grab Utopia off bittorrent and that would serve the same purpose?

better forum would be assembler mate.
that thing is way too expensive even if you can find one for sale and you don't really need one unless you want it for collection...

there are several on assembler forum have the disc but don't think they will be letting it go... o_O;

Utopia doesn't load development/beta software.

Unless I'm very much mistaken, and if I am then apologies, but weren't the 1st gen DC System Discs watermarked to certain consoles anway? Namely, dev-ers and some review units? Just have a vague memory of reading somewhere that there was a very good reason why no-one was bothering in HK to press bootable copies (or "HK Silvers") of that DC System Disc...

I'm probably totally wrong though. If I find a link, I'll post it.

i've got one. got it with a load of gd-r's and preview discs for ?30 off a mate. its pretty pointless as it wont boot anything other than a gd-r. utopia etc won't boot gd-rs.

It is to boot a SEGA dev GD-ROM for an un-released game, I was told I should be able to get hold of a system disk quite easily
