TBH nobody will know if it will work with freeloader or not until somebody buys it and tests it.

As for Lik Sang they apparently don't mark down any more. Try VG+, Tronix or Play Asia. All prices are comparable and I've found they offer a better service as well as definitely helping with tax worries.

Don't use courier either as you will get taxed. AFAIK they have to declare the true value, along with a invoice. Use standard airmail- USPS on Tronix for example always arrives in 5 days max for example and is much cheaper whilst being nearly as fast. As for tax cost, around ?20 on ?42 declared, plus the cost of shipping is considered and pushes the cost up.

Just remember to send an email/ mention when ordering the import fee concerns. You'd also be better scrapping freeloader and getting a modded US and JPN Cube too.

Answers to your questions:

1. No one knows if the game works with the freeloader as the game isn't out yet. Altho from the problems I have heard about it only seems to be certain Japanese games that have the saving issue, so you should be alright (this isn't 100% tho!)

Well personally I would go thru Play Asia as the game is $10 cheaper! You can also buy it in a combo with the free loader and save even more (around ?35 total)

2. Import duties, well you can help to aviod import duties by getting them to under value the package altho I think PA have a tendency to do that anyway. You should be alright as its only 1 game but if you do get caught, as to how much you would pay, my estimates, around ?6-?7 so it will probably cost the same as from Lik Sang anyway!

3. I would go with DHL

If you do get the game from Play Asia mention this forum and they sponser this site!!!

Importing frrm Play-asia isnt an option though- although the combo is a great price, the freeloader wont be delivered for 1-2 weeks- i cant wait that long

TBH it's going to be much more than that. I got charged ?10 (?7 tax, ?3 charge) on a ?30 package from CD-Wow a while back. This was with free postage. Bear in mind the cost of the shipping gets added to the value declared, you pay (according to what I've read on here) 17.5% VAT on that, around 5% import tax plus the courier fees.
The courier fees range from around ?3 (standard royal mail) to around ?10-?15 for couriers like DHL, Royal Mail and TNT.

I appreciate the poster is in a hurry, but standard airmail will negate the import tax radar, is obviously cheaper and isn't that much slower anyhow.

I've read somewhere, that Liksang replied to the question of FL compatibilty claiming RE4 worked with no problems. Though this is just a rumour. I can't actually back it up. I'm just going to risk it. Out in just 24 hours now!

well.... i cant say for sure but what I can tell you is this:

with the Japanese Famitsu demo on UK/PAL machine the games was running very slowly and the sound was out of sync...

I took that same demo round to play on my friend's PAL machine and had no noticeable problems.

I've never heard of any issues with FL and the Biohazard 4 demo. Shozuki, what version of FL were you using?

one method of booting can sometimes cause games to go into 50z, that might of been it

Yeah, with the slowness and the sound sync problem Shozuki mentioned, it sounds like 50hz could be the culprit. Ahh, this waiting is really getting painful. Hurry up and ship dammit!

Get Action Replay instead of Freeloader. That way if a game doesn't work with FL you can enter a code that will fix compatibility issues.
