Video Codec Problems

I'm having trouble playing new episodes (green screen in MP) and won't play properly in anything else, what's the best/latest codec to download please.

You need the XviD MPEG-4 Codec.

It uses DIVX codec. So get hold of the latest divx codec of there site. If you already got it, the fault is probably to do with your graphics drivers conflict or a plugin which is conflicting with media player. You can also try VLC player or divx to play it see if they works.

Sorry for being thick, but are the XviD MPEG-4 Codec and the DIVX Codec the same?

I checked the avi file using GSpot you see.

I have tryed the M$ & Xvid codecs.....and no joy with playing the 24 in windows media. It says it cannot play due to codec!!!!!

Anything else i can try ?

Download the Gordian Knot codec pack ... contains pretty much everything you need. HOWEVER, it installs Gator with DivX Pro, so run AdAware afterwards and you'll be fine.
