DS vs GBA SP

I'm going on hols in May and am thinking of buying a portable game system.

The Zelda-themed GBASP looks nice - but I am wondering if it's just worth getting the DS instead.

My question is: Is the DS well suited to playing GBA games? How do the controls hold up? The ergonomics? The screen etc etc?

you can get a mint used SP on here for around ?35 so unless your gonna use a DS when you get back I'd go for the SP and save yourself some money tbh, still some great games on the GBA....

Do you have a GC? One consideration is that the GBA to GC cable doesn't connect to the DS.

You can't play GBC games on a DS, either, if you've got any.
