Chipped PS2 and GT4 Jap version

Hi there,

I'm not sure if it ok to post this, or if this is the right place, so please delete if it's not appropriate.

I have a very old chip in my PS2 and no matter how much I scream it won't load GT4, I am thinking it's because it's won't handle Dual Layer DVD-9.

I need to get another, if at all possible, is there any advice you can give?, it is only used for import games, I pay for all my games.

Buy a Japanese PS2. A non-slim one will probably set you back around ?90 second-hand.

Try, titliting your ps2 at an angle for the initial load, it sounds crazy but it does work for DVD9 games on my messiah 1 modded PS2

So The Messiah 1 doesn't play Dual Layer DVD-9?

Tried Xenosaga (a DVD-9 game) this morning on my Messiah 1 and it works fine. No need to tilt or anything

It's sold now, don't mind buying the UK version means I can read that nice book that came with it.

Need the money to buy a turbo rwd car anyway
