Wondering if anyone can help. I`ve set up my xbox to share my internet connection with my old iBook hoping to get connected to XB Live. I`m trying to use BT`s basic BB package which they claim isn`t compatible with a mac(it is though, you just have to download the modem drivers) or XB Live(I thought they were saying this because its a usb modem)
I`ve got a USB adsl modem connected to the iBook, internet sharing turned on with the Ethernet port IP set to 192.168.0.1 Xbox IP is set to 192.160.0.2, Default gateway on Xbox set to 192.168.0.1 subnet 255.255.255.0
I`ve manualy set the DNS on the xbox to match the numbers I`m getting from the adsl modem
When I run Xbox Live setup, it clears cable connection, IP config is good, DNS gets resolved but then I get an error saying Xbox Live cannot be found.
What I`m wondering is if BT are blocking me from XB Live or if they can somehow stop Internet sharing on the Basic package?
Any ideas?
