I bought something on ebay from a japanese seller coming to around 65 pounds including P+P. I have now just recieved a letter from Parcel force stating i owe them 17 pounds VAT for customs (fair enough, i expected that) but also 13 pounds for Parcel Force Clearence fee. What is this? Why do i have to pay MORE money when ive already paid for shipping?
To make it worse calling my depo i get a constantly ringing phone and the letter is signed 'Yours faithfully Charge Taker' Might as well called it Bank account raper. Why should i pay this extra 13 pounds when i dont even get any service from them. They also suggest i pay by card (how thoughtful) except i dont have a credit or debit card, so when they arrive it'll be change from the jar they'll be getting. But my question is do i have to pay this 13 pounds and whats it for?
Also if i complain about their complete lack of service meaning i cant get my item will they reduce anything i have to pay? Just so annoyed, why did parcel force have to pick it up this end rather than any of the other much better couriour companies.
