Where to get a US PS2?

I've looked all over but can't find one aside from some joker on ebay who wants ?165.

    Any decent suppliers?

If a Canadian one will do, try the usual Videogames+ (link in the Retailers thread, and often in the advert at the top of the page). They'll ship one to the UK if you ask them nicely.

I've got one I'm looking to sell if you are interested. It's a unit I purchased from Goblin a couple of years back it's a factory recon unit. Basically it's a PS2 that went back to Sony who replace the knackered bits and send it back out.

I've used it a bit since then and it looks and feels like new, however I've not used it all that much as I purchased a chipped Pal unit about 8 months later. I've got a step down I can include if you want it too.

What sort of money are you asking? the new slimline doesn't need a step down which is why I'm edging towards one of those plus it will have resale value as I plan on getting rid after I've played GT4 to death.

Out of interest what happened to Goblin, are they still trading?

As far as I'm aware Goblin went tits up, leaving a lot of peeps here in the lurch with their membership deal.

          My PS2 is as detailed

US PS2 incl power cable, composite video cable and 1 x Dual Shock 2 controller
          1 x Stepdown transformer
1 x Sony factory referb box (Note this is a cardboard carton, not the normal PS2 box)

          ?70 delivered

I'll keep your offer in mind, it's only for GT4 which seems to still be a way off so I'm not in a hurry yet

if you are planning to run some PS1 PAL titles be careful and check before buying. On NTSC PS2 Test unit whcih has no rgion checking running PAL PS1 will output NSTC-50 which don't think there's many TV that can handle it. Whereas on PAL PS2 Test running NTSC PS1 will output PAL-60 which our TV can handle easily as long as TV is recent ones...

that's why I chose PAL PS2 Test unit...
if it's for PS2 play only then there shouldn't be any problem apart from PSU issue...

Not if they <cough> accidentally misvalue it on the customs declaration.
