PSP Nickname Input

I might be stupid but how do I input my nickname in english ? I've erased the previous owners details but it apears to be displaying the japanese alphabet and not the english one ?

One of the buttons enables the text to change to English. Can't remeber of the top of my head which one it is though. IIRC its on the right hand side of the keypad though

I remember reading somewhere you have to press select to bring up the english keyboard. No idea if that applies here.

I remember it being one of the oblong buttons along the top of the screen...

I just checked my PSP, it's definately Select. You can press it a few times to bring different character sets.

It is select, thanks. One more question is it possible to have ridge racer just display english language as mine seems to have both english and Japanese being displayed..?

Main menu is English, the rest is Japanese. Can't change as far as I know.
