French TV set work in UK?

Can anyone tell me clearly whether the TV set I've bought here in France will work back in the UK or not - i.e. will it receive UK terrestrial channels and SKY if I subscribe? Thanks! Steve

Check in the istallation menu, if you can switch between SECAM and PAL formats, it should work (I think?)

Sky should be fine - French TV sets should still have the RGB Scart socket you need for that (check the manual if you're unsure). Same goes for a Freeview box, obviously.

The only question is if the inbuilt analogue tuner will work against PAL as well as SECAM.

Secam is only a slight variation on pal, they are almost always compatible
