Ace combat 4 - 5 jpn. Lots of text???

Been looking at ace combat 4 and 5 and i have a jpn ps2. Are these playable or is there a lot of japanese text?

Never played this series before so would like any feedback.

Both are 100% in English with Japanese subtitles. Unlike the US version of AC5, you can't have Japanese voices with english subs tho - which is a shame.

haven't played both of them but being JPN release expect all those pre-mission briefing will be in Japanese only.

and without knowing what's the mission it'd be pretty pointless to play - I'm sure there are walkthrough on the Net to explain those...
