    150W Step Down Converter?

Looking for a Step Down for a US Xbox so needs to be at least 150W. Any idea where to get one? Or has anybody got one they want to get rid off quickly?

Maplin should sell them if you have one near you.

I got mine from Maplin. Its a great big brick of a thing and it set me back about ?50 Its made by SunPower, and its rated at 300W.

At the time I had this great idea - run all my consoles off a single large good quality stepdown... Do other people do that? The dream never became a reality because I couldn't turn up anywhere that would sell me a (preferably surge-protected) power strip for American-style power plugs.

You might like to consider an alternative strategy - replace the XBox power supply with one that handles 240V. Then there's no need for a stepdown. I picked one up from http://www.consoleplus.co.uk/ that is switchable between 110/240V. If only I could find the time to fit it

I use custom build 240-220 VAC transformer for all UK spec gears... they do work on our 240 VAC but apparently some dies rather prematurely... then there's 240-110/100 VAC unit for JP/US gears...

Next time we moved the house I'm planning to built-in wiring inside the house with 240VAC, 220VAC, and 100VAC...

Super Monkey Balls - does that stepdown have two input plugs? I might be interested in buying it if it is still for sale.
