I've thought about buying a converted component cable for my US cube for a long time and I have seen people selling them on here before; can anyone give me a link to a trusted retailer?

Ah, you're just after a modded RGD lead for your cube?
Pop into the wanted section and ask there, there's always someone selling one on the boards.

Yeah, sorry that wasn't clear. Basically, what used to be a US component cable which has been crammed into a european scart connector, to give RGB output. My TV does do NTSC conversion with composite, but I've become something of an RGB hore over the last year...
This will give substantially better display, right?!Last edited by egparadigm; 30-01-2005, 08:49.

Assuming you mean that you are currently running via composite cables (you mention you are already running via component in your last post) - an RGB cable (modified D Terminal to SCART) will give a massive jump in image quality.
If you are already using a component cable as you say above there is no need to switch over to RGB.

RGB is purest form of 480i out of US GC whereas Component will give 480i as well as 480p with selected titles. It really up to your TV how it handles the incoming signal... a lot of HDTV especially PDP and LCD upconvert incoming signal to its native resolution - i.e. with my PDP it basically upconvert the incoming signal to 1080i (actually 1024i with couple of lines thrown out top and bottom) and shown on its screen from what I was told... if the upscaling in your TV sucks you will get picture not so hot...
