Pro Evolution Soccer 4 - Unlock Players

Ok, so i unlocked a few players from the PES Shop. The problem is that i cannot, for the sake of me, find them anywhere inside the Master League.

Where do they go when they are unlocked?
Do i need to register them somewhere?

I found when I unlocked Classic Brazil, Peli was in the players without a contract section. He is absolutely amazing too and only 18. I think I started my current master league save after I unlocked brazil so I am not sure if you can get him in an on-going save.
