Online gaming via the DS isn't possible yet.
In the future you *may* be able to tunnel the local wireless connection through the internet and play against other people on their DS's. Take a look at how xLink Kai and other software to see how it's worked for other consoles, including the PSP. However, I hear that the DS's TCP/IP stack is made up of Nintendo's own proprietary protocols, so it's a pain in the arse to program for, hence the big maybe surrounding an online DS.
Dial ups, you can forget about.
Revolution is the codename for the next Nintendo console. Just how the GameCube's codename was Dolphin, and the Nintendo 64's was Project Reality, or Ultra 64. No details announced as yet. -
