Dreamcast Stick emergency

Ok so my dumb gf decided to kick a can of sho-chu over one of my Dreamcast sticks, and now i fear for the worst.

After drying the stick i decided to test it, and when i pressed the HK button it outputted a LP, after an hour or so it changed back to normal routine. Although the HP & MK buttons refuse to work now. If i hit them really hard they sometimes work but well, meh.

Anyway is there anything i can do if i open the stick up?

Also can anyone reccommend the Ascii Arcade Stick? Or should i just stick to the official ones?

Well em, the stick is working okay?
Sounds like the middle buttons are just a bit gummed up. You could pop the base and try cleaning them with a wet toothbrush. Make sure it's not plugged in. Best solution would be buy another or some new buttons.
