Yeah, I was going to say something about the 100hz thing, but personally, I'm not a fan and II don't know alot obout it, tbh. It makes things like rugby or football games look ****e on telly's that don't have a lot of picture processing power. It annoys me so much and I don't even like watching sport....

      Cheers.

Another thing, I noticed that many of these tvs say they're 50hz, yet support ntsc and rgb, which I thought ran at 60hz.

      What's that all about then?

That's only because the native signal is a 50hz PAL signal in this country still. It will be 60hz if displaying an NTSC 1.44 signal. Usually, it saves a bit of confusion..

On the main site, there's a great feature (it's still there) written by Brats all about TV's and the relevant video signals that we use as Film and Games fans. Seek it out, it's really really good and should explain a few things to you.

          Thanx again, i'll do that.

          One last thing. It says:

          'NTSC playback/ compatible No'

......... in the specs for the Toshiba (http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/ca...3_202614.html#)

I noticed it says that for many of the tvs they sell. Is this anything to worry about? (as i've almost made my mind up on this tele now)

I very much doubt that's true. Pop down to Comet with something NTSC and test it though, if you're unsure.

As for the 100Hz thing, if it isn't a Panny or Tosh, don't bother - bad 100Hz processing is much worse than none at all. Personally, I only turn it off on my Panny for a very few things - it gets confused by the flickery helicopter blades on Air Ranger, and halves the vertical resolution for some reason.

I've seen decent 100hz on a Philips Pixelplus tv... with all the digital filtering turned off, mind. In fact, with the Pixelplus turned off.
