    PANASONIC Q HELP- part 2

    Hello
I posted a thread a month or two ago when I was thinking about buying a Panasonic Q to ask some questions and you were all very helpful.
I have it now (its so nice!!) but I'm having a little trouble with PAL games.

I have the modified RGB cable and can play US games with no problems. When I use a Freeloader to play PAL games the majority dont work. The only game that plays ok is MGS: Twin Snakes. If I play Waverace or FF: Crystal Chronicles I get a picture but it rolls up the screen. Then if I try Wario World, Donkey Konga or Zelda Collectors edition, I just get a blank screen.

Can anyone shed any light on this, all help will be much appreciated.

I would imagine its a Freeloader problem,as the same would probably happen on a Jpn/US cube.
    F*** the PAL games off.

    (good advice eh)

I got Donkey Konga (PAL) to work on my Q (US/JP-modded) using the Action Replay. I had to use the method where you "force" which region (US/JP/EU) it should load in and it worked like a charm.

I dont have that many pal games so its not a major issue but I dont really want to have to go buy them all again.
I just have the freeloader version 1.06b, so I will try to "force" the region (is it by pressing Z?) and see if that works

        Thanks for your help :-)

I had the same connundrum about PAL games with my Q, well only Donkey Konga, so I ended up buying the DK pack.

          Far easier

Yep, press the Z button and you should get a choice of the three region flags.

Still cant get them to work, I've just set up my PAL cube next to my Q (it never used to look so pathetic before!?! ).

Whilst I'm at it, has anyone played Resi 4 yet? It has massive borders, even though I've got a wide screen. I can sort it out by zooming my tv picture, but it seems strange for a USA game. has anyone else noticed this?

I hope its not my Q because I get the same with widescreen DVD's!

There's nothing wrong, the borders are intentional. The game was designed to offer a wider field of view and I assume the GC couldn't handle it in true 16x9 so they added borders like in Beyond Good and Evil.

Nice one cheers for that I can stop fretting over my Q and start fretting over the primitive villagers attacking me with their pitchforks!!
