I think the Viper _is_ 'that homebrew one'... I think it comes with a bios that lets you do a swap-disc type of thing.

It will allow homebrew code to be run but there is also a bios "cobra" available for it that will run import originals.

The bios is in beta "0.4beta" at the moment and doesn't work very well on some cubes.

What's the point in getting a chip that lets you do a swap disc thing when you can just get a freeloader?

Because it let's you play illegal copies, aka homebrew.

I'd report the thread but I'd only be threatened with a ban

It's obvious what the chip is for.

I'm shocked, people play illegal copies of games, disgraceful behaviour.

The chip lets you play PAL/US/JAP import originals without using freeloader or disk swapping.

Mind you the chip is quite expensive so you could probably get another region cube for the same price!

i got myself a us cube (metroid pak) for ?55 shipped

so that saved me ?5 on a chipped uk gamecube

tbh it sthe first chip and first chips have niggles, wait until a modified or a better chip comes out

                      just my 2 cents
