Sonic MC+ (pal xbox) questions

Just wondering whether or not this is worth getting? These might be stupid questions but kinda need to know the answers before shelling out the money for it.

1. I take it the pal xbox version contains the sonic games running at ntsc speed (ie its ports of the old ntsc mega drive versions not the old slow as hell pal versions)

2. Does it use the sonic 3 and knuckles lock on technique? ie can u play through the two games as one huge game like you used to be able to do when you combined them?

The GC version has Sonic 2 and 3 locked on with Sonic and Knuckles, as well as the Blue Sphere bonus game it'd do if you locked on with any other game. It all had to be unlocked though. It'll be the same with the Xbox/PS2 versions too.

PAL PS2 version is PAL Mega Drive perfect ie slow and bordered. The xbox version should have an NTSC mode though.

The SMC games are PERFECT ports of the PAL MD versions, regardless of which console you buy it for. This means slowdown related glitches, lazy textures and that god awful voice screaming "Segaaaa" whenever you load up a game.

IMO, the bonus items are the only worthwhile part of that disk and the whole package should really only appeal to 13 year olds who weren't around to experience the MD "Classics" first-hand back in 1990

No 60hz mode for the PS2 version? That's quite surprising considering it's a Sega game. They are usually right on the money with regards to that.

well i bought it anyway, and as far as I can tell, they run as fast as the ntsc versions on xbox 60# (well at least as fast as my mates chipped xbox plays them). I automatically got the ooze and comix zone unlocked once i turned the game on, guessing that was because ive got a sonic heroes save game on my xbox from ages ago.
