NTSC Game on Modded PAL Xbox Help

I just bought Riddick, US version for Xbox, it's the first NTSC game I've bought for my Xbox but I expected it to work fine but it doesn't run at all.

I go into the Enigmah Switchdisc Video Mode or whatever it's called and make sure it's set to NTSC. Try to run the game and it loads to EvoX dash, then starts to load and the screen changes, then 4 seconds later, back to dash, and it keeps repeating this without me touching it.

I've tried going into settings and changing it specifically to NTSC, Default and Auto and it doesn't make a difference.

    Any ideas anyone!?

Go into the Microsoft dashboard and make sure the time is set.

        Yep, The time.

Evo X has this habit of setting the time clock on an XBOX to a funny year 80xx or something.

I've had this problem loads of time and it's stopped games from working for me.

Both Grand Theft Auto games, and the Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic have all caused me grief before learning of this time phenomenon!

Yeah some games need the time to be set in the MS dash (the default being 5/12-8907). I've just checked mine and Riddick works ok without the time being set so I don't think it's that.

            Might be the disc/drive perhaps.

Do you need to set the game region, as well as the video one?

Have you tried it set to NTSC with your mod chip switched off? From the MS dash?

change you xbox back to pal, but then go to the options on the msdash and enanle pal 60.

It might be that the game is reading that its seeing in the eeprom that its a pal console, setting it to pal, then reading the video display and setting it to NTSC, causing it not to do anything.

I've tried NTSC with mod chip off and still doesn't work. I checked earlier for a pal 60 option but couldn't see anything like that? All there was in Video settings was the screen size, like wide, letterbox etc. Or is it somewhere else? I'm sure I seen the option before too but it's just not there now!?

Possibly a tad confusing but here goes.

A US native machine will just have the video mode options that you see - wide screen, normal etc

A UK native machine will have the video mode options and an option for PAL 60 (on or off)

When you set your machine to NTSC with Enigmah, your XBOX believes it's a US machine and so the PAL 60 option in the settings will go.

Likewise when you set it to PAL, your machine thinks it's a UK machine so as well as the video options you get a PAL 60 option too.

                      Make sense?

The reason you cannot see the PAL 60 option is because you are in NTSC - change back to PAL with Enigmah, then go back into the MS dash and options and PAL 60 option will be back again.

This isn't funny now, It was already set in Pal 60 mode! So I'm still in the same place and it's still not working!?

Try checking in the Settings page of EvoX to make sure that all instances of IGR (In-Game Reset) are disabled - IGR can sometimes cause problems.

Don't forget that you have to go down to "Save and Exit" at the bottom of the page - if you just hit Back or B it'll forget any changes you made.

Checked and thats already said to 'No' too.

The game region should be set to Auto in the settings too yes? I've tried every option anyway and none work anyway.
