    Settle an argument...

Ok, before theres a fight here, someone answer me this ( simple ?) question :

In a surround sound speaker set up, does left and right mean

    a) as you look directly at the TV

    or

    b) as the TV's left and right ie:- left and right as if you were standing behind the set ?

I'm setting up a mates surround sound system and its an argument thats creating holy hell

The other way round would be known as stage left, stage right. I know this because i was the back of a camel in Joseph and his technicolour pacamac at primary school.

Thanks guys. Some people just won't take telling, even after I'd put a DVD on and showed him it going from left to right he was still have none of it

After seeing this thread he's finally accepted it
