    Nintendo DS games paks

Does anyone know if the Nintendo DS game paks are battery-supported? I'm guessing if so, then with time the battery would die out and the data saved would be lost, am I correct?

Theoretically, yes. I think they get a charge every time they are used though.
My original NES Zelda still has it's memory intact despite it being something like 20 years old...

Hmm.. been I've thinking a lot about this, I just don't know. I really don't want to lose my n64 data. Anything I can do to avoid this?

Also, the current memory cards (e.g. gamecube ones) aren't battery-supported, are they?

Memory cards are flash memory, they don't need a memory backup.

I've always wondered why the storage memory in carts needed a battery backup tbh

Well, presumably because without the battery the data simply wouldn't be saved?

Ah, the n64 memory cards aren't flash memory are they?

I was sort of assuming that the NDS games were stored on some type of flash memory. Don?t know if that?s the case or not but that?s what I thought when I saw & felt the little cartridge. Reminded me a lot of the flashmemory I put into my digital camera.

Does eeprom last forever? (If we assume that it doesn't undergo 100,000 writes/erases).

Also, which of these use batteries: SRAM or FlashRAM? (If either)
