Anyone on Supanet and have a mac???

Well, after ordering Supanet's 1mb package for my flat, and waiting over a month for them to figure out my first modem was MIA, they sent out another which finaly arrived today. Even tho the guy on the phone (when i bought it)promised me it would be compatable with mac's, it isnt compatable out of the box, and I actualy need extra drivers not provided by Supanet. On phoning customer support they gave me an email address where I can order the mac drivers for my Zoom 5510-72-SNA modem. Ive searched google and various sites but cant actualy find proof that this model exists, nowhere has any drivers, and all a google search brings up is the faq on the supanet homepage

Unfortunately I cbfa waiting another 2 weeks for drivers to arrive, so ive bought another modem from ebuyer. However I was hoping that some kind soul had experienced the same problem or knows where the hell to find these Zoom modem drivers so I can tide myself over with some internet for the next 2 weeks without having to resort to actualy visiting a library (A student in a library...what next)

Anyone on supanet with a mac?? let me know if theirs a solution

    thanks guys

Recently converted from Bt broadband to supanet 1mb. I too had problems with it, initially they lost my modem, then they failed to activate my line. Eventually I did get it up and running, but kept getting kernel panic or the computer would go to sleep and not wake up, would have to power down and reboot.

I contacted [email protected] and they supplied me with an up to date driver through e-mail.
However the kernel panic continue, i am beginning to wonder if it is a problem with 10.3.8.

Have you had any similar problems

Being on a mac it was impossible for me to get drivers without having them posted to me, which was a bit of a shame and I eventualy gaveup. I also tried running the modem off my pc but had similar problems, I know it wasnt a problem with the computers/drivers/me as ive done this kind of thig hundreds of times. I have got supanet up and running now, but the only way was to buy another modem/router from ebuyer, it set me back ?70 but its a decent device and it supports wireless too.

I honestly wouldnt recommend Supanet to anyone, they may be one of the cheaper ISP's for 1mb, however thier customer/technical support is all based in India, and the people answering the phones dont know ****.

cheers for the help tho ninook
