Just been playing Amped 2 on my US Xbox, which i got on Monday from another forumite , and it froze so i restarted the machine and now a screen comes up saying "your Xbox requires service", and the eject button is flashing red. Its a 2001 model btw. Anyone know whats up, i think it might be laser related but i'm not sure.

hmmm does it have an error code number mate this will be in the top left hand corner or the message. The number matches a problem and there is a list somewhere that states what the problem is. -
Could be lots of things...
Check the number in the top left corner of the error screen and have a look at this...

Is the xbox modded? If so this sometimes happens to me. Try switching the machine on with the eject button. Disabling the chip.Comment

Almost certainly corruption of Xbox system files on the HDD - If it were modded, I'd suspect that it was something deleted or moved, but if it's unmodded then it's probably HDD failure, especially if it's a very old 2001 spec machine...
