will a PAL freeloader work on a US cube or do i need to find a US version?

A Pal freeloader should work on any region. I think you need to get the 1.6B, which is the latest version. I've had a few problems with the freeloader with Pal games on my Jap cube, but not much with American games, -
If you PM me i've got one you can have for a fiver. Looking at the disk its says its Version 1.06B.
