Kartia & Legend Of Kartia...is there any difference?

Hi there,

Is there any difference between Kartia The World Of Fate(NTSC) and Legend Of Kartia (Pal)

I'm not sure if they're totally different games or not

No, they're the same. Atlus published it in America whilst Konami picked up the European rights and decided to change the name.

And am I alone in thinking it's one of the vastly underrated SRPGs of the 32-bit era?

I got it in a Gameplay sale 3 years ago for ?5. I'm yet to play it. I heard it wasn't very good though.

It's worth playing through once IMO, it's even got 2 player versus option, oh how I wish that feature was in Final Fantasy Tactics.

The mechanics for summoning are really kind of interesting in this one, and the distinction between largely expendable summoned units and valuable but potentially more useful human units is a neat one. The level design seems to my hazy memory to have been quite well done as well.

If only it hadn't been quite so paper-scissors-stone with regards to which units beat which others...
