Best projector?

I saw the Sony and was very impressed, but didn't see it for very long. The AE700 s 16:9 native too, they both use a 1280x720 panel. You can put a 4:3 image within the screen area if you want. 16:9 on a 6ft screen will look fine though, it is on small 32" screens where it looks really odd.

i would not worry about RGB too much, you could buy a box that converts scart to component or vga to get round that, don't not buy a projector because of its lack of scart.
Have a read over the next couple of nights on the digital projector forum over at www.avforums.com . It is worth getting this right as ?1500 is worth spending and getting right.

Not sure who if anyone demos these near Burnley, most of them seem to be around the home counties, but have a search on that forum as there is some really good advice on there and they are a friendly bunch.

Ah! The XRGB convertors from NCSx! I forgot about those. Cheers for reminding me.

I'd probably go to Manchester, Liverpool or even Birmingham if spending more than a grand on something, I don't want a projector shipping, even if I can drive the van myself.

LOL @ Burnley! About the best displays found in Burnley are Sanyo 32" widescreen tellys that you have to pay monthly for down at Bright House. Ask for a demo and you get told to **** off!

When did this priacy encription start up?
Sounds abit odd to me. I guess it doesn't affect me yet anyway as I have an AE200. I'll upgrade for nextgen though I'd imagine

It has been known about for a while, but everyone expected it would be for digital connections and they would still be able to use analogue, however the shock was when they said to protect their content the analogue outputs would be gone!!


David I was thinking more of the JS RGB-VGA converters, or RGB to component converters, or even one of the Keene sync seperaters, let teh projector upscale rather than an Xrgb.
