I saw the Sony and was very impressed, but didn't see it for very long. The AE700 s 16:9 native too, they both use a 1280x720 panel. You can put a 4:3 image within the screen area if you want. 16:9 on a 6ft screen will look fine though, it is on small 32" screens where it looks really odd.
i would not worry about RGB too much, you could buy a box that converts scart to component or vga to get round that, don't not buy a projector because of its lack of scart.
Have a read over the next couple of nights on the digital projector forum over at www.avforums.com . It is worth getting this right as ?1500 is worth spending and getting right.
Not sure who if anyone demos these near Burnley, most of them seem to be around the home counties, but have a search on that forum as there is some really good advice on there and they are a friendly bunch.
