    What determines a Gamecube bestseller?

I'm talking about U.S. gamecube games. Some of them have the "best seller" logo on them (no, I'm not talking about player's choice). Does anyone know what that actually means. I got StarFox Assault today (U.S. copy) and it has the bestseller logo on it. How is that possible when the game just came out???

Have you got pictures of a game with the bestseller logo on it?

I think it's supposed to be reffering to past games in the series. Paper Mario and Mario Tennis had these horrible 'Best Seller' logos on them too.

It's to do with preorders. If they reach a certain amount of preorders then they get that god-awful sticker on them ft:

It's going to ruin the Legend of Zelda box, I can just see it happening

          I'm never preordering again.

No, preordering is the best way to ensure you WON'T get this horrible sticker

It sounds silly but I'm going to ask the guy I get my imports from to preorder a copy of LoZ for me as soon as I know the date. Launch day shipments won't have this but I bet they will after a few weeks or so ft:

              There ya go.

edit: did wind waker initally have this logo as well? or was it added only once it became player's choice?

Not all games immediately get BEST SELLER on them though. My copy of Paper Mario did, but although lots of people got one on Mario Tennis, my copy does not have it. Maybe mine is from very early production on it...

is it a sticker or actually on print in the artwork?
They ruined the Zelda the Windwaker & Metroid Prime boxart that way over here in the Netherlands. They printed big advertisment on the actual artwork that one of the lamest, but biggest selling magazines thought the games were hip & cool.

It's a part of the artwork itself (not a sticker).
