What PC games shouldn't I buy secondhand?

I want to pick up a couple of PC games and normally I buy a lot of my games secondhand to keep the cost down, but I've heard that anti-piracy measures can cause problems with some newer games not allowing you to transfer ownership to a second person? (presumably to stop sharing)

Can anyone say what I definitely shouldn't buy secondhand due to these problems?

I can get Painkiller for ?10 new off ebay, and Doom3 is only ?18 at Play so these 2 aren't so bad, but for future reference it'd be handy to know what to avoid at CashConvertors.

Half-life 2...don't know of any others.

I guess World of Warcraft or any other online game of this type.

Yep, wouldn't get Half Life 1 or 2 as the CDKEY could be banned for cheating. To be honest, anything online is a bit of a risk as you don't know what the previous owner has been up to.

Single player stuff would be fine though, as long as you make sure they come with the CDKEY so you can actually install them.

Crack Converters is the source of many a bargain, actually, if you can pierce the miasma and run the gauntlet of twats spitting at your shoes.
