The obvious place would be the US with the weak dollar. That's assuming you or somebody you know is going over there who can pick you one up. Or you fancy a short break. The warranty is worldwide so you'll be OK with that but the keyboard won't have a ? sign on (not immediately anyway). I wouldn't recommend a foreign language keyboard either.
UK prices are always sky high and Apple UK don't really give resellers much room to manoeuvre. Places like dabs are only ?20 or so different IME. The best thing to do is buy with student discount if you're getting from the UK - at least it softens the blow a little.
Just scanning the US vs UK factory PB 15" 1.67... UK price is ?1,579 and the US works out at around ?1277 ($2,299). That's a cool ?300 cheaper. Bet you could get a return flight to NY for less than that
