I am running PAL games on my NTSC N64 console, and what exactly determines whether it runs in PAL or NTSC?Games like Mario 64, MArio kart, f-zero x,zelda,goldeneye,mortal kombat etc. run in PAL mode. Turok 1 & 2 run in NTSC mode perfectly (even though the cart is PAL), and Duke 64, extreme-g, and lylatwars (using the starfox 64 JAP bootcode) also run in NTSC mode despite the cart being PAL, however the music speed is too fast, and the sound is scratchy.And an odd case is World Cup 98, where there is no music at all, but apart from that it runs fine in NTSC. I havent got these 4 games to work yet though:
