looking for a TV in the ?200-?300 bracket

after a 28" flatscreen preferably - i here these give the best picture on 2D games?

i've seen plenty that look good, but many retailers don't state whether thay are 60hz compatable - my friend bought a new TV a few weeks ago and we were shcoked to see 60hz games in black and white, hard to believe some companies still manufacture them like this. any recommendation?

sorry if this is in the wrong forum, btw. move at leisure.

Wow. What make was that TV?
Anyway, do you need widescreen or 4:3?

      It was a Panasonic!

I'm not to fussed about 4:3 or Widescreen, but would prefer the latter.

On the panasonic sets you need to use AV1 (Scart 1) for imports! I've got a 28" pana myself and get black screen through av2 and 3. Let me know how you get on!
