PSP Availability in Japan

Just a quicky does anyone know how available the PSP is in Japan? (i'm guessing its not a problem).
Also prices in yen would be handy.

When I left mid february it was not a problem, they were available at pretty much any electronics or games store.

Prices will be around 21000 for the standard and 26000 for the value pack.

I was there end of Feb and couldn't find a single one in Akihabara. Not a great measure of the availability I know, but there we go....

I'd read a few articles recently saying that Japan was all out of PSPs and it was near impossible to just walk into any store and buy one.

I was in Osaka last week - seemed to be plenty. Kinda popular though ... there were two people queued up behind me to buy one when I took the plunge.

I paid just over 26,000 for a value pack.
