    PS2 Region Free Games

    I'm wondering if there are any ps2 region free games.... and if so, is Snake Eater one of them (i.e. can I play an american snake eater on a PAL ps2)? Also, how come some xbox games are region free, but not all? Cheers for any help.

    No PS2 games are region free, Sony require a region to be set when they manufacture the discs. Microsoft don't give a ****, and leave it up to the developer/publisher to argue it out over what region, if any, the disc is locked to when compiling the game executable on the disc.
