    Using NTSC XBOX Live In Europe

    Hi There,

    I'm considering getting NTSC XBOX Live for my NTSC XBOX, but I live here in Europe. Am I likely to have major problems with connection and/or lag while playing?

    If anyone has any experiences with the NTSC XBOX Live in Europe, good or bad, please let me know, I'd appreiate it.

    Cheers !!!

    It shouldn't matter at all. I used the US kit on my UK XBOX. All you need to do is to select the releveant billing region when you sign up for the service.

      So does it connect to the US server or the European server?

        When using an NTSC XBOX Live kit that is.

          You connect to what ever server you want to for the particular game that you are playing. I never noticed any lag whilst I was using it.

            Please bare with me, I'm completely new to all this. ;-)

            So you can log onto any XBL server in the world you choose?

                  Thanks for that, so when using a US XBOX Live kit in Europe;

                  1) Am I correct in thinking that your credit card billing address determines the server you connect to, or can you input a seperate address to determine the server?

                  2) Is it possible to change servers at any time?

                  3) When connected to the US server from Europe, are there any lag problems?

                  4) When connected to a European server, is it still possible to player US XBL games?

                      Most games (with the exception of PSO) are P2P, so the only server you'll be connecting to (apart from the one that authenticates your user and whatnot) will be other people's Xboxes.
