    Japanpa

Anyone here had experience with late deliveries from JapanPa?

I ordered Gigawing 2 off them and it arrived in about a week -- no problem. So I ordered three Jap Gamecube games from them and they haven't turned up yet, 17 days later. Has anyone else had to wait this long before for stuff from Japanpa (or from anywhere in Japan), or can you think of any reason why it might be late? I'm hoping it's customs, otherwise I've thrown 64 quid down the drain.

Interestingly, I emailed Japanpa and they basically said 'we've got proof of postage, so stuff off, it's your problem,' which didn't seem like the world's great customer service. (I've no reason to doubt their honesty, but a bit of sympathy might have helped.) And it's worth noting if you do order from them, *don't* choose the cheap, uninsured postage, otherwise you might end up in the same situation as me.

    Whoops.

    Sorry mate.

I literally order from them once a week and have had no probs whatsoever, and always try to get from them before P-A,Lik etc.

It's not your fault. They sent Gigawing 2 straight away, and everything was fine. It was a good recommendation.

It's just these other three games, and to be fair to them, as I say, I genuinely believe they've sent the stuff. The customer service is a bit crap, but they're honest. I just seem to have been unlucky with the post -- some filcher has got Mr Driller, Nintendo Puzzle Collection and Kururin Squash. It happens; I just wish it hadn't been quite so expensive.

Ah well. I'd have no problem ordering from them again, but I'd *definitely* take the insured post next time.

I guess having seen a documentary about the post office some time ago and the way mail is sorted, there is a good chance that packages will just go 'missing,' an awful thing to happen though!

^ Yeah, I can vouch for that. (having stuff go 'missing' that is)

Everything turned up this morning. Only 22 days after they were posted... Good news, but very odd. How does one game take 7 days to arrive, and another 22, from exactly the same place?

And after I complained to them quite a bit, Japanpa have been a bit better with their customer service. Not exactly 'we'll do anything for you, since you spent ?60 with us', but at least they were more polite in their emails.

I'm off to play some import Japanese goodness now.

Glad to here they arrived , but really once they have posted the items out theres not a lot more they can do although they could have put it a bit more polietly in the email maybe.

That was the point, really. I've dealt with Play-Asia and Lik-Sang, and they both get back to you immediately, they sympathise, and if you're not happy at all with your order, they'll offer you something to compensate for it.

From Japanpa, the first thing I got when I politely asked when they sent the parcels, was a cut-and-paste job of their terms and conditions and, basically, a 'sod off, it's not our problem'. They took up to five days to reply to emails, and were always a bit curt; though to be honest, I think there's a slight language difficulty between us, so the curtness I could ignore...

Do Japanpa mark packages down? I think I'm going to order something from there, like a new console, but if they don't mark down, maybe I won't
