    Neo Geo Joysticks?

I have just bought a Supergun and MVS 1 slot (the one with the joystick port built it). I have a small question. Can I convert or get an adaptor for my DC arcade stick so that I can play Neo Geo and Jamma Games with it?

I have had a look on the net but can not find adaptors etc.

Or can I buy the connector on the end of the Neo Geo stick and wire my DC stick to it?

Also would anyone recommend me getting a neo geo stick (the old fashioned ones not the jellybean shaped ones) anyway to play MVS games with?

    Thanks for any help/ advice.

The Neo connector as far as I'm aware (I've never actually seen one) is a 15 pin Din type connector, which is completely standard. The great thing about the Neo sticks is they don't multiplex lines together like other controllers. Ie each and every switch in the joystick connects to one pin in the connector.

The DC stick will no doubt use some sort of multiplexing. Although I'm sure that it could be hacked apart. Have all of the logic removed and rewired to a 15 pin din without too much problem. (Afterall the microswitches are just basic switches).

Remember that the Jamma standard for controls is +5V for no input and 0V ground for an input. (Undoubtedly the standard Neo stick works in this way).

Hope that helps in some way.

Just find a neo-stick pin-out on the web, get a 15-pin din similar to the Neo sticks. When you open up the DC stick, you can ignore the PCB and wire up the buttons and stick directly to the plug as per the pin-out. Neo-sticks are not complicated things. Open it up and basically copy what you see there.
