Interferences in TV when PC is on

Every time I switch on the PC, some interferences appears on the TV screen. Until now, this was no biggie (working with the computer and listening to the TV).

But now the computer is another AV source thanks to a TV-out card and, while the S-video output is good, the interferences are there.

I know is not a lead problem, the interferences were there before, and I tried a power stabilizer on the PC and the TV without results (both are connected to the same power line, no other available in the room).

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

It's called RF interference, PCs and some monitors give out stupid ammounts of RF which the TV picks up and displays.

The easiest method to solve this is to move the PC or the TV further away from the TV or PC... 5M is a good distance.

If that's not possible then switch off the monitor to see if it's the PC or Monitor that's causing the RF interference.

If it's the monitor then you can cut down the interence by spraying the inside of the case with a metalic RF shielding spray, although that's overkill (and dangerous unless you know how to take the back of the monitor and not shock yourself, an unplugged monitor still holds a very high charge for several hours and sometimes days and weeks...)

If it's the PC then try buying a decent metal case for the PC as this will kill most of the RF interference dead.

    Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, I can't move the PC five meters from the TV

I will try to determine if it's the monitor or the PC. If it's the monitor, I'll plug it off when needed, if it's the PC, I will try to isolate it.

      Thanks
